The Disaster Resilience Leadership (DRL)

The DRL Network spans 39 countries across Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean; includes the establishment of Disaster Resilience Graduate-Level programming in 5 countries; and, is composed of a network of over 500 international members from diverse backgrounds and fields.

 Jointly funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Bank’s GFDRR, aims to address three different levels of change:

  • Individual: Strengthen existing disaster leadership capacity.
  • Organizational: Enhance organizational resilience.
  • Systems: Develop a regional and global network of practitioners, faculty and facilitators to foster knowledge creation, exchange, collaboration, and resource-sharing
