Program Director for George Washington University’s Elliott School for International Affairs Institute for Disaster & Fragility Resilience. Deborah also currently serves as Principal Investigator for our Response Innovation for Somali Emergencies (RISE) Project that is in partnership with USAID/OFDA, World Vision, the Somali Disaster Resilience Institute (SDRI) and the Response Innovation Lab. She also been engaged in the Institute’s Disaster Resilience Leadership program (DRL)  since its launch in 2010. Building on the DRL model, she has worked with a team in Uganda to launch and implement the Young Disaster Resilience Leadership (yDRL) program.

Deborah also serves on the Executive Committee for the Response Innovation Lab, and on the boards of ThinkIT Limited, and Vouch Digital.
